“Yubari”, just a few hours from Sapporo is famous for their melons. If you’ve tried their “musk” melons before you may have been shocked by the price! Sometimes upwards of 100’s of dollars, but you can buy a relatively inexpensive one for 30-40 dollars.
Not only musk, but there are a few other equally delicious kinds available and they’re more inexpensive.
Pictured below is a “prince” melon grown in Sapporo. Only cost around 5 dollars and it’s absolutely delicious!
